Claudia Whippo, DVM graduated in 1994 from the University of Berlin Veterinary School of Medicine. In 1996 she moved to England and opened her own practice, specializing in feline & pocket pet veterinary care. Dr. Whippo and her family (including 11 cats) then moved to Pennsylvania in 2003 where she then began her work to become licensed to practice in the United States. The Whippo family then moved to La Vernia, Texas in 2006 where she began practicing in the San Antonio area. Dr. Whippo purchased Sayers Animal Hospital in April of 2008.
Jean Kiolbassa worked at Sayers Animal Hospital from 2001-2005 as the receptionist and we are glad to have her familiar face and voice back as part of the team! Besides her husband at home she has her dogs "Monty" and "Tryke" keeping her busy! Jean also has a herd of spoiled cows who are always glad to see her vehicle drive into the pasture.
Mary Kay White worked at Sayers Animal Hospital for 9 years as a veterinary technician before going to work in the San Antonio area where she had the pleasure to work with Dr. Whippo. It was not a hard decision to return to Sayers Animal Hospital where she truly feels like she is back at home. Mary Kay is kept busy at home with her dogs, cats, and tortoise's.
Evelyn LaFredo worked as a veterinarian technician in the San Antonio area with Dr. Whippo and joined the Sayers Animal Hospital team in 2011. Her dogs "Buddy" and "Dyno", her horse "Chooey", and too many cats to name keep her busy at home. Evelyn also volunteers her time to Homes For Pets rescue group fostering cats that are looking for forever homes!
Jessica Burch started working part time for Sayers Animal Hospital while attending Texas A&M University, and came on full time after graduation. Jessica is kept busy when away from the clinic with her two sugar gliders "Pez" and "Nitro" and her hedgehog "Honey".
